Based in Glasgow, Scotland, the shipping companies Anchor Line (Henderson Brothers) and the Donaldson Line both operated services to Canada during the early twentieth century. In 1916 they agreed to share these routes and form a joint company, the Anchor-Donaldson Line. Four steamers, the Letitia, Saturnia, Cassandra and Athenia, operated from Glasgow, Liverpool and Belfast to Montreal, Quebec and Halifax. The Great Depression and a huge downturn in business ended the venture in 1935, when the Anchor Line was liquidated and the Donaldson Atlantic Line was formed.
Here are two nice poster stamps advertising the Anchor-Donaldson Line.

Hi Pete: Thanks for sharing the image of the BABNC stamps. Very nice set. The Bileski labels are the Winnipeg-Pembina private post stamps that he used during postal strikes, from 1975-1984. I'm surprised you couldn't find them. So here they are.
Having examined just now my Bileski labels, I see that I am missing 1982-1984. So I must have bought mine way back in 1981. I'll have to search for them, but if I want them now, I'll probably have to buy the entire set. So happy I have this hobby during this pandemic, as I am never bored!

Indeed the 1982-1984 labels are scarcer than the 1975-1981 stamps. I suspect that Bileski printed fewer sheets.

These Canadian cinderellas were issued in France in 1919 by an unknown printer. They are part of the Bonne Annee 1920 stamps, a large series of stamps featuring cities from France, England, Canada and a few other countries. They were apparently issued to raise funds for the war-ravaged areas of France.

Confinement is doing good things in helping us clean up our accumulations! I found these three items hidden in a folder in one of my accumulation boxes. The first two, I've seen on the web before but can't find a cc# from the Field Guide catalogue as I only have the first edition. The third one, I never seen anywhere before. As per the write ups on the sheet, only 2000 were printed and only 50 were signed by the artist. Maybe that's why! FDI

Send an image of the red-omitted sheet. First I hear about it. For the CAPEX 78 CBNC souvenir sheet, I have no idea how many were printed. But I've seen serial numbers up to 7373, so I'd guess 10,000. @ firstfrog2013 and cindycan2 , if you refer to Unitrade catalogue at page 649 you will see the quantities issues for each sets of the CAPEX '78 souvenir sheets. Hi FDI: For the Calgary sheet, this was described in the 2nd edition of the Field Guide, with # cc0780.2. There was another similar minisheet (cc0780.1) and a combination minisheet (cc0780.3) from a souvenir booklet.
For the International Waterfowl Conservation and Vintage Guild Productions sheets, these were not yet included in the 2nd edition of the Field Guide, but will be included in any future edition. Of note there is another Vintage Guild sheet to keep an eye out for, and maybe others also.

Thanks @candycan2.
I'm also having a lot of difficulties locating a copy of the 2nd edition of the Field Guide catalogue. Any ideas where I could find a copy?
Thanks

The 2nd edition of the Field Guide to the Cinderella Stamps of Canada is now out of print since March, with no plans to print a second batch. There is work going on for a 3rd edition, but that will be at least a year away as there is still much work to do, and new updates on nearly a daily basis. The 1st edition published in 2012 listed 5444 cinderellas, the 2nd edition published in 2015 listed 12,369 cinderellas. As of today my listing of Canadian cinderellas is at 21,209.
Maybe Forum members can help me determine which format would be best for the 3rd edition: a) large full colour printed book (this would be about the size of a Unitrade catalog, but expensive as it is printed in Canada in small batches); b) large book but printed in B&W (this would be sold at a lower price); c) full colour PDF files on CD or eBook format.
Would there be interest in the sale of a CD with PDF files of the 2nd edition until the 3rd edition can get published?
Let me know your ideas by sending me a personal message.

Here's a nice set of WWI patriotic cinderellas issued in 1914 by the Canadian Picture Stamp Company of Ottawa, Ontario, featuring British, Colonial and French Battleships and Cruisers. The company issued a total of 48 stamps in this series (4 sheets of 12), each stamp featuring an image at centre and the Union Jack motif around the margin.

At one time or another, most everyone who collected stamps in the 20th century saw Kasimir Bileski's ads in a philatelic publication. While based in Winnipeg, he sometimes posted his outgoing mail at Pembina, North Dakota, and used a local post label on the cover. Cindycan2 has posted a full set of those local post labels above in his thread of May 30, 2018.
Here is one used on on a cover that carried Bileski's annual dues for membership in the American Air Mail Society. This cover is a poor example with its smudged cancel, but a cancel on the reverse shows the cover in Trenton, NJ on March 21, 1982. To date, this is the only one of his labels that I have, but I hope to acquire a full set on cover. They, however, are infrequently offered and I have been outbid on the others I have seen .

Here's a nice WWI-era patriotic stamp featuring a bulldog and Union Jack,
and the slogan "What we have we'll hold - What we haven't we'll make".
It was most likely part of an advertising campaign for the Bulldog Razor from the Gillette Safety Razor Company of Canada Ltd. as shown in this advertisement from page 10 of The Province (Vancouver, BC) dated 14 Nov 1914.

1. Minisheet of 12 stamps issued in 1982 depicting the 4 different buildings/locations that housed the College since its foundation. 2. 3 Christmas seals(French versions) issued by the Canadian Bible Society. Issued as a sheet of 24 stamps. CBS issued Christmas seals annually from about 1974 to about 2000. CBS also issued annual scripture seals. 3. Stamps issued for the World Philatelic Youth Exhibition which was held in Montreal from March 25-29, 1992. Imperforate versions of the stamps were also issued. The labels without inscriptions are printed in blue and red with a B&W image of the statue of De Maisonneuve with a cartoon of the Jacques Cartier bridge in the background.

Sainte Anne de Beaupré is a town located 35 km north-east of Quebec City. It was the site of a shrine erected in 1620 by shipwrecked sailors. In 1658 a chapel was built, which was replaced by a church in 1876, and finally by a magnificent basilica after a fire in 1922. The basilica is a major site of pilgrimage, and displays a wall of canes as a testament to those who have been cured there. Saint Anne is traditionally regarded as the mother of Mary, and grandmother of Jesus Christ.
Here are a few of the fundraising stamps issued by the Sainte Anne de Beaupré parish. The two imperforate stamps on the top row appear to be proofs on thin grey paper.

Here's an interesting sheet of "Original Miniview Photo Stamps" published by Miniview Products of Calgary. The stamps feature scenes from the Calgary Stampede, Banff, and Lake Louise. They probably date to the late 1950s or early 1960s.

I recently added a set of the cc5509.2 in full sheets to my collection. While checking the back of the sheets I noticed that the red link on the $1.25 value was bleeding through the gum side. Have any of you ever noticed similar findings on this set? Thanks FDI
