Nice cover. I believe the label might be cc0592 but not sure. Close. It's actually cc0595, issued in 1970 for the 50th anniversary of the first aerial mail flight. Interesting that it is tied to a cover dated 1973.

Could anyone help me to identify these 4 cinderella's? The bottom two may not even be Canadian. images on previous page of this thread.
1. Canadiens Francais Aidons nous: cc3805.2a, issued around 1934 to help promote French Canadian products and services. There is a variety (type 2b) that has a broken frameline in the upper left corner. There is also a variety of this stamp (cc3805.4) that is rouletted and slightly more bluish in colour.
2. Manitoba centennial: this is a single cut from an imperf sheet issued for the Manipex 70 stamp show (cc1245b). The perforated sheet (cc1245a) is shown below.
3. Fight fire: I suspect this is from USA.
4. PAULUS: cc3755.6, strongly suspected to be from Quebec, but actual issuing entity unknown. It represents St Paul. Probably issued in the 1950s or 1960s.

I recently added a set of the cc5509.2 in full sheets to my collection. While checking the back of the sheets I noticed that the red link on the $1.25 value was bleeding through the gum side. Have any of you ever noticed similar findings on this set? I only have a set of singles and none show this bleeding on the back.

Here's a cover with a Hotel forwarding label from the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Montreal. Hotels used such labels to forward mail from their traveling clients. Has anyone else seen these types of labels from Canadian hotels?

I've not seen the double perf before, but color shifts are common on cinderellas. Value? It's in the eye of the beholder...

A "Visit Ottawa this year" label:
And a nice cover from 1954 that helps date a second variety of the label:

The Royal Visit of 1939, 17th May to 15th JuneHere is an almost complete sheet (just missing some selvedge at the bottom) for the Royal Visit to Canada in 1939 by King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. Although depicted on the sheet, the young Princesses did not attend. Every province of Canada was visited plus the Dominium of Newfoundland (not at that point part of Canada) and the United States. It was a very successful tour at an important point in history, with world war looming. Canadian Prime Minister Mackenzie King accompanying the royal couple throughout the visit. A bit of trivia. Stovel printed two versions of the sheet, different only in the bottom selvage, for sheets sold in Canada or USA. I wonder if a third version was printed for sale in Newfoundland?

Thanks for that info. So, I have the USA version. Was there also one for Newfoundland? Maybe, but I'm sure you would know better than anyone else Anyway, it's a very attractive sheet. Likewise the Scenic Manitoba sheets.

“La semaine de la France” (“France Week”) was a special event held in Montreal in July 1944 to show solidarity with the French-Canadian motherland and promote French ideals. Highlights of the week included the visit to Montreal by General Charles de Gaulle and patriotic speeches, concerts, and fireworks at the Mount Royal Chalet on July 13-14. A single stamp featuring the slogan "Vive La France", a torch and a broken chain was issued to promote the event.

Mail Art is quite interesting when you dig a little. I came across this sheet which was produced by Ed Varney from B.C. and distributed by Banana Productions also located in B.C. After a bit of research, Banana Production is owned by Anna Banana aka Anne Lee Long. Very interesting reading which led me to discover that many other sheets would exists. I was not able to find any more on the web i.e. ebay or others, but I'm sure I will if I look hard enough. FD

RHEOSTATICS
Rheostatics are a Canadian indie rock band who formed in 1978 and toured form 1980 to 2007, when they broke up. Described as one of Canada's most influential and unconventional rock bands. They reformed in 2016. The line-up has changed over the years and these stamps include long-time producer Michael Phillip Wojewoda and so, dates them to between 2001 and 2007. More specifically, their 2004 album, called 2067, depicts another Rheostatics stamp on the front. So, possibly from that time. That album is described as a concept album for the 200th anniversary of the Canadian Federation!
The band members shown are Tim Vesely, Dave Bidini, Michael Phillip Wojewoda and Martin Tielli.

Those are AMAZING!!!
I'm a huge Rheostatics fan and a Dave Bidini fan too (he's an excellent writer and has written several books.)
I did not know they existed and now I want a set bad!

Here's the full set and some notes about the stamps.
The Rheostatics are a Canadian indie rock band, primarily active from 1980 to 2007. Although they had only one Top 40 hit, "Claire" in 1995, two of the band's albums, Whale Music and Melville, were ranked among the best Canadian albums ever recorded. In 2004, the band released a concept album titled “2067” based on the imagined 200th anniversary of Canadian Confederation. A set of 13 stamps featuring the artwork of band member Martin Tielli was released with the album, which also contained 13 tracks. The stamp designs are reminiscent of some early Canadian stamps.

These Canadian cinderellas are fascinating, cindycan2. I'm noticing that Cinderellas don't really move me, until I started seeing these Canadian art issues. Maybe because the topics are closer to home? Not sure. But I'm adding this thread to my every growing list of bookmarked topics.

Two Canadada artistamps on piece sent through the post with two Canadian postage stamps. If I'm reading the date correctly, 100902 is 2nd September 2010. The Leonhard Frank Duch Elvis Presley stamp is outstanding. Duch was born in Berlin in 1940 but his family emigrated to Brazil in 1951. He studied art and journalism and was active in the Mail Art scene from 1975 to 1994 when he moved back to Berlin. I have no information on the other Canadada stamp.

One of my recent acquisitions. To my surprise, it was much bigger than expected. It is 10x13.2cm with creamy yellow shinny gum on the back. I could not find it in the "Field Guide" catalogue so it got me curions as if it was only a show souvenir of some sort. On the other hand it has gum and after some search on the web I found his little sister which has perforation, so I guess it is a cinderella. This was issue for the "Exposition du troisième Centenaire de Montréal tenue à l'oratoire Saint-Joseph du 17 septembre au 4 octobre 1942" which was an International Religious Missionary event. At that time, the Oratoire was still under construction. The outside was completed but the inside was still empty so this was the ideal site for such a major venue. The archives states that over 225,000 people attended the event. It was so popular that it was extended by another week until October 4th. So much history to discover in Montreal... fascinating city!

Not in the Field Guide because it is indeed a new find! The blue label may be a bit big for a cinderella, maybe better to call it a luggage label. But the smaller perforated brown stamp would certainly fit the bill. Expect to see it listed in a future edition of the FG.

A nice selection of Newfoundland Airship Company stamps. These are modern, 21st century, Cinderellas produced by someone in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I had shown a couple of covers in the Cinderellas on Covers thread.

Found this while sorting through a large cinderella collection.
Some more Artistamps from the guy who coined the term, Michael Bidner.
