A few pairs and strips from Bergen (25). This is how I display my collection, by towns. The early Norway issues are fascinating and offer the opportunity of collecting different plates, postmarks (numeral, town, manuscript, ship etc). Be good to see other collectors items and how you display your collection. Cheers Graham

Final offering for now, one pair and strips from Frederiksstad (76). I can throughly recommend the book by Tore Gjelsvik, titled Norway the skilling Oscar stamps, it is brilliant, well written and very informative. Graham

thegubman Holy macaroni! Impressive Norway collection! A question - how long did it take you to assemble this collection? Did you purchase a collection and build on it or did you buy these individually? Do you prefer auctions or dealers? Any recommended auctions? I’m trying to build a similar collection for Ireland with multiples and more and would enjoy hearing some tips for acquiring this level of material from someone who has succeeded in compiling such an awesome collection. Thanks!
