Yes indeed, congratulations René ( renden) on completing those pages! The stamps, the page layouts, and the mounting (the Holy Trinity for album collectors) all look great. I am just sorry that the ones I sent you have not arrived yet. I mailed yours at the same time as I sent a packet to Vince ( stanley64), and he received his long ago already. Well, hopefully my meager additions will arrive soon so that you can put them into your excellent pages. It feels good to have a quest, doesn't it?

rendenI know how you feel !!! I am just lacking one stamp also to complete the Ebrie Lagoon series.YV 81/SG 75, the 90c value issued in 1930. Gibbons catalogues it as 46.00ukl used- one of-the highest priced stamps in the series. The only time I have found one involves buying the entire set. The one you are looking for is priced at 17.00ukl mint and 55.00ukl used. I don,t have a Scott so have no idea of their prices.

Beautiful René ( renden ); congratulations on completing the set(s) and creating some wonderful pages! My commiserations for the one incomplete set though, I know the feeling. This set, posted here, was purchased as an incomplete offering and at a perceived substantial discount ( caveat emptor). Filling in the gaps proved more difficult than expected and only recently did I find the 80c to complete the series. Overall, I am pleased with the results but must admit it did cost a little more than if I had just purchased a complete set out-right. At the end of the day, you are correct and it does require some patience or "hunting" to find another bargain or another incomplete set to fill the final gap without "breaking the bank" in the process ;-)
Again, those Ivory Coast issues are some beauties and success with finding the missing issue...
Happy collecting!

It comes a time when one has to complete the first series of a Country. I have been and still am working on Ivory Coast's classics for the past 3 months. Today I am proud to show off my complete series (Scott 1-17) of the French Colony, Côte d'IVOIRE (Ivory Coast). All stamps show the name of this Country on FRANCE "Sage" stamps (Navigation and Commerce) Hope you enjoy ! René

rendenRene...April to July, you are lucky ! By Ecuadorian standards, that is express mail.I am still waiting for letters from February and March. Mail service still appears to be haphazard.I found some items I liked from a seller in Hong Kong and wanted them sent registered to USA.However, the seller informed me that there was only surface mail to USA ,no airmail service. This is quite an interesting definitive series which lasted from 1913-35 - River Scene or Ébrié Lagoon. You will note that 1 stamp is missing and nowhere to be found at this time (by me) If any member has a copy I would gladly buy it at 75% CV (Scott Specialized 2019) Enjoy the River Scenes ! René P.S. i HAVE some difficulty getting good scans, even at 1200 DPI, reduced to <1MB for TSF
