Now this is a stamp that you should be checking for plate flaws. Many to be had. Here's a partial list of the more known varieties:

This is now the norm for this collection. As you can see it is moving into the multiple page per stamp stage. OCD is a terrible thing but then it carries over into guitars, xmas villages, chain saws.etc.

Firstfrog Do your finds come from lots or singles, dealers or general collectors. You seem to be on a roll. I probably sold some goodies early on (maybe that's why the bids went up quickly) I didn't have 700 catalogues then, just an old Scott's so I probably missed a few.

Falschung, My purchases range from singles to collections.I usually have a mental figure in my head what I am willing to spend and very seldom exceed that amount.I can't stress enough to look at all lots very carefully, take advantage of your knowledge. This single was purchased for less than $15 and for this issue I would say it's a very fine copy( always an opinion). It does make the third copy I've found of the perf. 12.The hunt continues.....

Just a note that the Hi-cat Perf 12 in the 5c LQ is actually perforated 12.1 and not 12. Sounds like you are having a good time with those Large Queens! The papers are most interesting but if you can find the plate varieties, they are nice and scarce. Here is a copy of the 2c Major Re-entry at position 7. The re-entry is in the letters ADA PO

jimjung I've been keeping an eye out for the varieties.I think I found the goatee but waiting for it's arrival to verify.Loving the queens right now but then I shift back to cent issues too.In the course of it all a page full of each stamp has become the norm and some are going on multiple pages per stamp.OCD kicking in as well as old age.

falschung ,This is the stamp in question. As you can see no sign of what the cancel date would be.
If you look hard at white margins you'll see what I mean.

The known examples of what you think it is I believe are all used. This would make it even rarer. The original amount may have been 100. Odds are extremely low. If you still feel positive, go with what I mentioned.

frog, it's scarce to find dates on Large Queen stamps because of the cancelling principles of the period. The Postal clerks would normally put a heavy mark on the stamp and the dated cancel would be away from the stamp, usually at the lower left.
As for the paper, you would have to post a more simple scan of the back to show the weave of the paper. That closeup scan just shows a big blur of white.
If you think it is on Laid Paper then you should check the thickness of the paper. Laid Paper on the 2c is on the thicker paper. You should also see light and dark lines when looking through the stamp against a bright light. The 2c Laid paper has wider laid lines than the 3c and is similar to the 1c on Laid Paper.
Although I'm not an expert on the shade of the 2c Laid Paper, I believe it is supposed to be a bluer/darker green than the stamp you have there.

jimjung A mystery stamp for sure it shows weak laid lines not really as strong as the three or one.I don't have equipment to measure thickness but do have a copy on blotting paper as reference to thick. It has some paper stuck on the back and today I plan on a good soak with water/soap.The centering also doesn't match known copies so that too is a strike against.Whatever it is, a cheap thrill that will keep me busy and entertained for a bit.Still a nice copy of a old issue and will remain in my collection in any case.

There are a number of ways to check the 2c LQ to see if it might be laid paper. They are described in a report provided by the Vincent Graves Greene Research Foundation and can be found in this link: www.greenefoundation.ca/research.htm#papers .
The following image shows a laid paper copy viewed from behind with a light shining through the stamp. The light and dark horizontal banding in the paper is indicative of laid paper.

Stamp reacted the opposite than it should have curling top and bottom not side to side,It therefore is some other paper.A real learning curve,if I live long enough I'll be an informed collector.

Well your Frog has been at it again.I blew up this stamp offered and saw the missing frameline at the left value tablet. What I didn't spot was the watermark on the back a classic "U" with the pieces of T&L. Estimated Cv$400 purchase price $7

Good One, frog. You can see the broken perfs on the 12 1/2c stamp which are indicative of the poor quality Bothwell paper. That 2c you posted on Feb 11 looks like it may be Bothwell, too!

Not sure why but it's a learning curve. Most watermarks on the large queens are clearly visible without fluid. This stamp was placed in fluid not expecting much but there it was.I guess what I'm telling you is go through the motions seems you never know.It is also important to precisely measure perfs on this issue. As for condition on the large queens remember these were post civil war era hard to look perfect at 150 years old.

The watermark is difficult to find on some of these. I have one that only shows the watermark in water. There is nothing showing in the fluid. So I would definitely try all the possibilities if you see the vertical weave of the Bothwell Paper - just in case.

At some point I must really go back through my extensive amount of these to re-check the perfs and watermark them all. Many were mounted rather hastily and not checked.

Well I must state again how important it is to check and re-check all the large queens both watermarks and perfs. As I was mounting some new arrivals there were numerous others stuck into the page protectors waiting for attention,A quick check of a 1/2 cent #21 tucked in there revealed a Bothwell watermarked"M".While the stamp is not in the greatest shape with adhensions from an album page stuck fast, it is a Very Scarce stamp.I think this winter I must re-examine the couple hundred queens in my collection.Anything not already labeled must be gone through more closely.Any members traveling by would be a welcome help.
