In 1963, Poland issued a set of six stamps depicting ancient ships that were printed on paper of various tints. Those same designs and denominations were again used on a set issued January 25, 1965 that was printed on paper without tinting. Two stamps from the latter set appear below: a 20 groszy, slate blue, stamp depicting a Greek trireme (Scott 1301) and a 1 zloty, red brown stamp depicting a 14th Century "Holk" (Scott 1305). Stamps of the 1963 issue were perforated 11.5 while those of the 1965 were perf. 12.5.

Here are some different covers of the vintage speedboats posted earlier. Two of the boats shown in the photos, the (mislabeled) 1939 Hacker-Craft Pardon Me and the 1915 Hutchinson Wild Goose are in the collection of the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton. I used to be curator there.

One of five issues commemorating the Swedish shipping industry, issued 16 November 1974. Best of all, cancelled on the Stockholm island suburb of Lidingö on 7.7.1977; not significant but pretty. In deference to Canadian friends, one might say it has a blue nose.
