You can probably find a pictorial postmark for just about any topic. Space is my speciality.

Australia issued this wonderful pictorial postmark and a stamp issue to commemorate the 1987 Americas Cup being held in Freemantle, Western Australia.
The postmark adorned this beautiful first day cover given to me by one of Western Australia's most renowned philatelists and all-around great human being (thank you, sir!). The stamps, from left to right, are Scott 1011-1014

Gee, I am not sure you lot would like to remember that Steve I was there. Nice to hear you received the Antarctic. Pity the Cup went all hi tech.

Here is a Liberation Series souvenir issued on the 1st of March, 1945. The date is expressed as "1ER MARS 1945" as in "1st March 1945" in English.
The embossing under the stamps reads... FÉDÉRATION DES SOCIÉTÉS PHILATÉLIQUES DU GRANDE-DUCHÉ DE LUXEMBOURG A.S.B.L.

I live in the delightfully-named town of Cockatoo, in Melbourne's outer east. It's a bush suburb, with plenty of wildlife, including cockatoos of course. This pictorial postmark has been in use since 1998, and I've sent many philatelic mailings lovingly cancelled by the PO staff. I was told last week that the cancel has been "withdrawn" under orders from Australia Post. That's all they could tell me. I'm trying to locate any directive from Australia Post re this, with no luck. Has anyone heard of similar instructions from AP?

Unfortunately, all those Canadian pictorial postmarks are old. None coming up. I checked a couple other provinces, but was given a 429 page - too many requests!
I like Ron's though. Nice to see something coming up so you can plan to get the postmark!

erthur , The U.S. Postal Service also announces upcoming pictorial postmarks that may be of interest to collectors and first day cover processors in its bi-weekly Postal Bulletins. Here is the first of two pages of pictorial postmarks being announced in the most recent issue.
I wonder how many other Nations' postal services make similar announcements?

The town of St.Veit was the ancient seat of the dukes of Carinthia. The Wiesenmarkt is a fair with a long tradition.
