feebletodix - Your Aden Cantonment is marvelous!! I picked up a few last week as well. Poor images, from the eBay description. Happy to add them to my Aden forerunner collection renden - these are examples of what you asked me the other day - not like Toyota pick-up trucks

Feebletodix - very nice thread you kicked off here with postmarks! Some very nice examples you have shown us too, thanks! In particular I loved that Hong Kong stamp with the treaty port cancellation of Ningpo (today Ningbo). Marvelous!
Blaamand - Nice Aden forerunners, congrats!

Well depending on the date of issue of the stamp for xmas use it may be 28 SP 98 or 28 AP 99.
Yes, just a twist and right a bit, reminds me of a gameshow from decades ago where a blindfolded contestant would aim and fire a weapon at a target guided by their partners instructions (often shouted).

Straits Settlements overprinted "B.M.A. Malaya" British Military Administration 1948 Michel 7II, Scott 262a, Stanley Gibbons 9 This is Plate II : The palmtree doesn't hit the oval, and the bottom palm front in front of the King's eyes ends in one point.

Inuvik 5 jun 1960, Northwest territory, Canada. I think this postmark is not among the most common Canadian postmarks.

I am a collector of bullseye cancels and feebletodix's post of today, (http://thestampforum.boards.net/post/75008) on Belgium, Sc. 455 reminded me that I mounted a page of those, plus two Sc 454's. It's unusual, at least for me, to find enough CDC's on one specific stamp to fill a page. Belgium Sc. 455 must have been an extremely high-use stamp. Please overlook the typo on the bottom center stamp cancelled in Gent. I don't save the pages after printing and so far, I haven't found the energy to re-drawn this page. As a collector of used WW, cancels on stamps is a favorite sub-field for me and I hope to be a frequent contributor to this thread.

stamphinger Congratulations on a very nice album page for postmarks. I love it when collectors appreciate the cancels like you do, and make pages for postmarks on their own. Keep them coming 😊

Here's a second page of Belgian postmarks. These more contemporary and selected for their shapes and sizes and the clarity of their cancels. Rather than being arranged by date, these are positioned by size and shapes.

The size of these Hungarian Madonna & Child stamps, Sc. 378-387 of 1921 - 1925, made it easy to capture a full postmark. I have been trying for some time now to find out why the Hungarian postal authorities left the 1 off of the year date with no success to date. Does anyone on this forum know? SH

Posted here is a page of bullseyes from African countries. I don't have much access to African stamps and have been unable to find enough cancels to do a page from a single country. I selected these stamps mostly based upon their size and shape to lay out the page. SH

One of my first pages drawn for my Cancels on Stamps collection. I was collecting used Canadian stamps then (early 1980s) and started to save a few just for their cancels. I have since switched to WW used stamps and continue to set aside the better cancels I find. SH
