Hi Jeff There are a few stamps from various French colonies but I am not aware of a French stamp portraying an orange. I do have this personalised stamp....Orangina....that,s the closest I can find.....

Recently noticed in my French collection, these two unusual cancels: From 19-Sep-1925 (?), from the MB FRANCE cruise ship, in Southampton (England), a 1Fr carmine Merson (YT 121) : and this one with a "New York au Havre" cancellation, 26 July 1935, so again from a transatlantic cruise liner, on the 90c Le-Puy-en-Velay issue from 1933:

Wow, that's a lovely selection of COGH postmarks. Some great fancy cork cancellations at the bottom. I particularly like the two stylised numeral cancellations at the bottom of the right vertical column. In case you are not aware, the lower is a "diamond numeral" 6/9 used at Tot's Pan: www.postmarks.co.za/PH%20Diamond%20numerals.htmThe one above is a 'squared numeral' 4, used at Riebeeck West: www.postmarks.co.za/PH%20CGH%20BONC%20Barred%20circle.htmGreat stuff!!

A lovely cancellation dated 27 July 1970 from Pamplemousses,Mauritius. A beautiful postmark indeed. A note for JeffS , "Pamplemousses" in French means grapefruits, so this sort of postmark would fit well in his citrus-themed collection.
