As I said, my collection gets pretty spotty in the later years - here's all I have left that's new for the list. 1999 (count the hearts on this one!), 2002 & 2009. Ryan

12 seals missing, not 15! Your text database is missing the 1961, 1962 & 1968 copies (I posted a couple, LB1 posted one also). And if you go back to the first page of the thread, there are a bunch of images from 1984 onward that didn't get copied on to your image database, so they're just represented by black spots at the moment. And I doubt that my foot will fit that glass slipper ....

Note that from 1904-1950 one single stamp was issued per year. From 1951 onwards there are sometimes 50 different stamps in a sheet, often acting like a puzzle, where combined they display a Christmas scenario.
(edit: I didn't notice this being mentioned on page 2, sorry)
For a complete database, you should consider having full sheets. This way people can "plate" their often single specimens and see where they belong in the "big picture".
My earliest memories from my childhood collecting is hunting singles at stamp shows. I would then hinge them on a page, so eventually I got the "whole sheet". (I couldn't afford the sheets being 7 years old).

Here are a couple of recent years that have come my way in kiloware - they haven't yet had their turn in the bath to be soaked off the envelope remnants, so the perfs are tough to see on one of them. 2004 & 2006! Ryan

I bought a big stamplot (Denmark/Norway) on Catawiki witch came yesterday. There was 4 'Julemerker' innside it. I just post them here to show. I'm not a collector of 'cindarelas' but I do gater them and the plan is to make a auction/giveaway sometime. The one from 1959 has had a bad childhood ........ I might have one with the right colours somewhere, but maybe not. I guess some of you have one to show

Good afternoon everyone. I have a number of these local Danish Cinderellas/Christmas seals. Not really found out much about them. Does anyone know much about these? Also have a number of full sheet Denmark Christmas seals happy to put them up if of interest. Regards Graham

My collection of early Denmark Christmas seals can be seen at bigblue1840-1940.blogspot.com/2017/10/denmark-buds-big-blue.html. The seals are at the end of the Denmark post. It includes a card that explains the connection between USA Christmas seals and those of Denmark. We can communicate about these seals via the comment box at the end of the of the above post if you like. Best regards.

The Danish post office produces official Christmas seals each year since 1904 and these are what has been shown so far in this Thread . An idea from post master Einar Holborn, they claim the world’s first official seals. within 2 years they had raised enough money for a children’s TB sanatorium. The stamps from 1904 to about 1950 had a single design each year but since then ,they come in sheets ( I think 50 or maybe 100) where the individual seals differ in design detail but have a common theme for the year. So modern seals really should be collected in complete sheets ( or reconstructed……….a labour of love and hard work). A single seal is only a fraction of the theme / story. The ones thegubman shows are different in origin . not the official post office ones . They have been prepared by charity organisations eg the Scouts from Varde in west Jutland

stoltzpup , It's great to see on here! I remember our interactions from the old days on the board. I had wondered how you were doing. I now see you've been popping in here from time to time, and I'm glad to know you're ok! Also: D'oh! I had not made the connection that you were the Bud on Big Blue! That's terrific! Well done! -- Dave

I can’t remember if the modern Christmas seals since the 1950s come in sheets of 50 or 100 , but now each seal on the sheet is diffferent so cursus and Ryan (from 2014) with a single example you are probably going to have to find another 49 or maybe 99 types for each year !! Real challenge ahead.

Your second one Joan cursus, belongs on the sheet I illustrated above, row 4 No 2. So with the heart and candle one you showed in Sept you only need 48 more for the sheet !! Here is a part sheet, 15 of the 50 designs from 1963..... I don't need them a nybody want them in time for Christmas ?
