Many "oranges" subjects have scant philatelic material available so I must rely on other printed materials such as advertising, promotional materials and other printed items.

For me, the ability to use non-stamp items in my collection, following display class exhibiting guidelines, allows the inclusion of subject matter which is perhaps more vivid (edit: and varied) than that offered by stamps alone:

Indeed, Orangina is very popular in France. Have some in the vending machine next to my office. My sons like it a lot, and so do I! It used to have a lot of fun TV ads in which the bottle would be shaken in all sort of ways (to mix in the pulp) and then opened to show it wouldn't fizzle out like normal sodas do.

My recent find of additional stamps featuring the orange blossom prompted a redo of this previously sparse page. (Grenada and Fernando Poo,)

JeffS........an interesting sheet. I have seen similar such stamp positions, not too many mind you, and wondered then what a pair in that position might be called. Just been searching a bit but didn't come up with anything conclusive. So when it's not quite Tete-Beche, what is it ? I have checked all the obvious places but have not yet found an answer. Linda: thank you for your contribution. I personally don’t include lemons or limes in my collection although I have a few that were in multi-stamp sets. Just including oranges and hybrids is challenge enough. (The “orange” itself is a hybrid citrus)

Oops, I thought they were all citrus fruit ... sorry for my ignorance. @linda - They are indeed citrus, but too far removed from the "orange citrus" varieties for my interest. Limes and oranges are certainly welcome at my Oranges thread.

On occasion, something will pop up that I never before thought might exist to add to my citrus collection. The case in point, this PPC from a grapefruit producer regarding "The Freeze of '83" as it is referred to in Texas.

The parameters for Display Class Exhibiting (I understand that is no longer a class in the USA) encouraged the inclusion of collateral material if it did not exceed a certain percentage of philatelic material. Hey, if I can get it on a page (or 2) I include it.

Arrived today what was supposed to be a complete sheet from Turkish Cyprus, 50 Krs on 25 M Mandarin stamp. It suffered some separations in transit but as the cost was but 1 GBP + Shipping, that's OK, as I planned to break out a couple of marginal inscription blocks and stash the rest in my duplicate Citrus stock.
Such as these blocks

rod222 and others, regarding towns with the word "orange" in the name, I must exercise caution that the reference is indeed to that of citrus and not Dutch royalty

JeffS: I have been meaning to let you know that the annual National Orange Show Fair takes place in San Bernardino, California, which is about a 30 or 40-minute drive from where I am now living. If there is something you would like to have from there, please let me know, and I would be happy to go and get it for you. Do you know if they do any sort of philatelic stuff, like a show cancel or anything?
