Today, I received this registered letter from France. It hung tough in the mail system for 45 days. It contained the TAAF stamps I just posted. Whew, I'm happy they finally arrived.

Today's mail. One journal and four envelopes from online purchases. If I was awarding points (I wouldn't 'cause I value them all - can't wait to see what's inside) I'd have to give it to the large envelope from the UK. That's a nice Harry Potter strip. My local club has a meeting tomorrow. I'll throw all these stamps in the kiloware box for our youth program. It's hot today. I noticed it was 32 degrees when I went out to get the mail. Be cool wherever you are.

This box arrived today from a stamp auction house. There are not a lot of stamps inside but there are some nice items I will share later. My Scott International album binders have begun to break so the box was needed to send me a lightly used one to replace one I have taped together now. The good news on the stamps used is that they are on wrapping paper rather on cardboard. Easy to save and store.

Another haul of 17 stamps from an eBay seller in Romania. Only took ten days to receive them. Especially like the hexagon with Christopher Columbus.

Sent from Levuka on Ovalau on March 27th;arrived here in Essen on the 21st of May. Was difficult to find the necessary stamps,to make up the correct postage of $ 1.14 Fiji currency. Have no idea what the printed cancel on the right (printed over Salentin) is about. Two more letters, sent 10 days and a month before this one, still haven´t made it yet.

I received the following envelopes this morning containing several Machin definitives for my specialist collection. The 3rd envelope was well taped externally so I damaged it when opening it so not worth scanning. Not much special about the attached stamps but I will check them later for any flaws before adding them to my used box to deal with later!!

Here is the registered package that arrived today from Belgium containing two of the Peru Sc1-2 Reprints, which have already been posted in that thread. None of the stamps were postmarked, but at least the package got here as promised. It was mailed on 11-May, according to the form, so it took a bit under 3 weeks to arrive here in Southern California.

In this week's post, I received a package with this field on sunflowers used for the postage, Posted 23 May 2024, Canyon Lake, USA and received 29 May 2024, Nadadouro, Portugal. Total travel time - 7 days
Given the contents, the sunflowers or 'birdseed' seems most appropriate...
Have fun and happy collecting!

This letter was mailed from the El Golf branch office in Santiago, Chile. It took 45 days to receive the two stamps contained in the envelope. All eBay transactions I've had with foreign sellers have been successful. From this experience, I've grown to learn that some take much longer than others.

I received the following A4 envelope today containing several Machin stamps. All the attached stamps were uncancelled. The 2 gutter pairs are from the London 1980 International Stamp Exhibition issue & the single 10p stamp is from the 1976 500th Anniversary of British Printing issue set (Caxton). The gutter pairs are the type 1 issue (original). The die was re-cut during the printing process resulting in 2 types of stamp.

A simple stamp and one I like. And, a cool return address ... I would have loved a cancel on this stamp from Shawinigan -- the hometown of a really interesting former prime minister with a great tag line, "I'm just a little guy from Shawinigan." Sadly, however, like so many letters these days it made the journey without any trace that it had been in the postal system at all -- not even a bar code sticker. It's like a neighbour just walked it over to my mailbox today. May 5, 2024 Graphic Novelists Series: Jillian and Mariko Tamaki P - Face Value: C$3.96 Sc. C 3449

Two envelopes received from Italy today. The top one didn't have any stamps on it but the reverse shows 'Home Office/Border Force' tape and the envelope had been slit open on the front but the tape was applied to the back!! The Delandre sheet was, thankfully, still in the envelope. The second envelope shows a nice lot of Italian stamps.

Took a break from watching the tennis from Paris to go downstairs to check for mail. 2 eBay wins arrived today, one from Scotland the other from New York. The one from Scotland came with this lovely card. Thanks Alex vikingeck . Your art work is wonderful. The stamps are pretty nice too.

This envelope arrived today from a seller in Victioria, BC. Besides a nice cover there was a flyer offering Canada postage at reduced prices with a minimum of 50.00. Discounts are highest if you buy stamps of lower face value. As this envelope shows they appear to have a big inventory.

Received this morning. Showing Royal Mail's latest offerings. A distinct lack of imagination again (topic of the stamps). Another repeat topic from 2018 almost.

Received this envelope today containing several Machin single stamps with cylinder numbers attached. The GB commemorative stamps on the envelope are: Football Legends (Billy Wright & Danny Blanchflower) from The European Football Championships issued in 1996 - Peter Rabbit & Mrs Rabbit 1st from the set of Greetings stamps issued in 1993. (for anyone collecting varieties Mrs Rabbits' dress is lilac coloured on this stamp but can also be found in blue). Also from a set of Greetings stamps from 1992 is the 24p Queen Elizabeth & baby Prince Andrew. The 47p is from 2003 A British Journey set depicting The Glenfinnan Viaduct Lochaber Scotland. Overall the stamps were nicely hand cancelled originally & then later cancelled (weakly) by machine in transit.

I received the 2 Machin 3p centre band cylinder blocks today (a couple of cheap ones) to add to my specialist collection. The postage on the envelope was 10p over the second class postal rate & 40p under the first class rate with it being received within 24 hours of being posted/mailed. The attached GB commemorative stamps are from the Charles Darwin issue in 1982, British Cattle issue in 1984 & The Urban Renewal issue in 1984. Actually it is correct at 85p for 2nd class ! since April 2024

Saturday’s mail - A few USA classics from Jim jimjung arrived in this colorful envelope. Plus my sis returned some of the Ansel Adam’s stamps I used to forward some mail to her. She’s a snowbird and some bulk rate mail isn’t included in the United States Postal Service forwarding service. I use it as an opportunity to get elusive modern canceled for my collection and my sis is happy. Win/win!
