Hello stamp friends, Hope you are all well. Work having slowed down, I have a little time for stamps. With all the news about the former Soviet republics, I thought we might continue our tour of their courthouses. The earliest stamp I know of that shows a courthouse, or in this case a Hall of Judgment, is from the Soviet Socialist Republic of Azerbaijan. The stamp. Scott 26, was issued in 1922. I would love to see this on a cover! If someone knows of a stamp that shows a courthouse that is older than 1922 please let me know. Many thanks and happy collecting!

Hello stamp friends, I hope you are all well. It has been a month since I posted on here. I have been posting on the Ships on Stamps thread, just for a change. Anyway, I thought you might enjoy this grouping from Armenia. First up is a very nice first day cover for the 20th anniversary of their Constitutional Court, which occurred in 2015. The stamp shows the courthouse, while the fdc has an illustration of the main courtroom. Next is nice postally-used cover of the Armenian stamp for the 50th anniversary of the European Court of Human Rights in 2009. This stamp, like many others, features the very interesting architecture of the building in Strasbourg, France. Finally, an interesting bonus, a postally-used cover from the Supreme Court of Armenian SSR, shown front and back. I am not sure of the date, maybe someone can help me with the postmark. The stamp is Scott Russia 2446, first issued in 1961. Have a great week and happy stamping!

A "palacio legislativo" is a Parliament, not a courthouse

Paleis ‘Kneuterdijk’ 17 June 1948 Zomerpostzegels NVPH nr. 502 The palace is the seat of the Council of State of the Netherlands. The Council of State must be consulted by the cabinet on proposed legislation before a law is submitted to parliament.
