I am calling this thread "So Close" where folks can post an picture of a set or whole album page where just one stamp is missing. This is done mostly in jest, but also, if you happen to know that you have a duplicate that a fellow TSF member needs you can reach out to them and offer it to them for sale/trade/goodwill as you see fit. Maybe we can fill a few more holes. I will start this off with my slightly bedraggled Canada Postage Dues page. I collect Canada through KGVI so I just need a J5 to complete my dues collection So close!

Cyprus KGVI Pictorial Issue 1938-44 Just missing one of the common stamps, the 3d value. The high value is a revenue cancel which I will want to replace with a mint or genuine used stamp.

smauggie , I can fill your empty spot. I have two copies of the 3pi Cyprus stamp you are looking for. I recommend the stamp on the left as being the better of the two. The stamp on the right has a couple of small creases that may not show up in the scan. It looks like you are not on the mailing list so please message me your address and I will put it in the mail to you.

Darn, angore ! The way I collected, I have very few traders. I do have one 6¢ orange 12-½x12, but I am thinking it is a forgery, as it is a weak print, the likes of which I've never seen before, or since...

Al angore your missing 454ep (in your Centennial Definitives CANADA post) is described in Unitrade Canada Specialized 2021 cat as a 1¢ brown OP4 single with straight edge. I looked in my "dups" and found, I think, a 454ep with OP4 phosphorescent, 12.5X12.0 and UV does show yellow bars on each side A scan of the stamp: If you do think it would help you, let me know ! Seeing the posts by renden...Rene....made me look at my pages and I am missing two very common stamps from AEF. I have been looking for these for quite some time and was able to find them amd they were sent from France to my son in USA. However, this letter and 2 other registered letters never arrived and the USPS advised me that the letters were missing.I was advised to file claims with La Poste in France, even though USPS was responsible for the loss.My search continues......

Great idea for a thread! I just bought a big mess of French African colony lots, when they arrive, I'll look for some of those used ones in there.

One of the few Swiss charity stamps ("semi-postals" for Scott) That I'm still missing, despite its low catalog value (0.75 in Scott, 1.75 in Zumstein).
This set, was completed, through a purchase, just two weeks ago.

A ver nice thread ! Here one of my "sorrows":
The Manchukuo January 1934 definitive series,is a re-issue of the 1932 definitives, but now on granite paper. I had owned the rather expensive 15 Fen.So I was happy to find an offer for the other eight stamps of the set. However I received a note from the seller, that he had overlooked, that the 4 Fen was not that of the set,but the 1935 overprinted one. But I was still happy enough, although the missing 4 Fen probably will be missing for long. Although not an expensive stamp of less than US-$ 10.-,it is very difficult to find.

Here is one that I should be able to complete, if only I would focus on it -- missing the 6 cent brown "Leaf" issue.

I just picked this set of the perf 14 varieties, so close! Missing the 7-½d perf 14 x 14-½ variety. Of course I am missing a whack if the 14 x 13-½ perf varieties, but they are nowhere near "close!" And of course I copied the ones above these, but forgot to add the "a" or "b" to the numbers! Most are hidden now, so not a big deal!

Niger Pictorial Definitive Set, 1926-1940 Sc29-72 (44 Stamps in the Full Set)This is one of those long French colonial Africa sets that anglobob knows so well.... 44 stamps in all, and I am missing one in the middle, and it's not even the highest CV stamp in the series. It gets tough to fill these long sets if you do it one at a time!

Wow, René ( renden), I would love to complete that set after all this time! Thank you very much, indeed! If you are needing Niger for your French Africa project, I will be happy to sort the rest of my accumulation and let you have first choice of the duplicates. Thanks again!
