I recently bought a stash of maxi-cards, dated from June 1, 1978 through September 7, 1992, 303 in total. I'll post scans of them every so often. Maybe I'll even start to collect Liechtenstein now! All are in the envelopes they were originally sold in. The backs of the cards have info about the issue in German, French and English. They did a good job in creating these cards. Now the problem is in getting them mounted and in binders. It will take a few binders to house a collection like this. Looking at the flag of Liechtenstein, I chose a dark blue colour for the text.
By definition, these maxi-cards are not maxi-cards. But it is what the Liechtenstein Postal Administration issued and sold to collectors.

Here is the envelope these cards are in...
... and the information on the back of each card...

Bravo! I will enjoy at least seeing them, if owning them is not possible. I guess you paid less than $1 for each...

The 3rd set in this series are 4 signs of the Zodiac, also issued on September 7, 1978. They are mysteriously not listed in Scott's 2009 catalogue. Are they perhaps listed in later versions of their catalogue? I was thinking of purchasing the pages, but if not, why bother. Perhaps SG would be a better choice, or Michel.
OK, I found them in Scott's. They are listed in 1976, with the full series. Scott #'s 601, 602, 606 and 609. They state 609, Aquarius was issued in 1976, as they have no date ascribed to the stamp. I just never thought to look back in time! Another reason I abhor Scott's!

Nice, but the image on the postcard should NOT be a simple enlargement of the image from the stamp, technicalities (and walking on them) aside. A magnifying glass can do that, sort of.

Perhaps the subject of the thread should be changed to Liechtenstein Maxi-Cards and Not-Quite-Maxi-Cards.

Those are beautiful Maxi-Cards Peter. I collected Liechtenstein many years ago. I had a near complete used collection up to 1974. I think they have some of the most beautiful cancellations out there. Thank you for sharing.

Liechtenstein's first issue of 1979 was for Europa. The theme that year was post & telecommunications. This set marked the first airmail service from St. Gallen to Schaan on August 31, 1930, and the first Zeppelin flight to Liechtenstein on June 10, 1931. Issued March 8, 1979, Scott #'s 663-664.

This set, I'm not really liking. They could have done a better job than this for the International Year of the Child. But, it is what it is! Issued March 8, 1979 Scott #'s 665-667.

Liechtenstein Post changed the format of the info on the back of this series cards. Each card has its own info on the back. That's too much and will just bog down the thread. Back to normal for the next issue. I suspect other series similar to this will be the same. This series was issued June 7, 1979, Scott #'s 668-670.

Today we have the Heraldic Panels from the Liechtenstein National Museum, issued June 7, 1979. Another faux pas on Scott's part which give June 1 as their date of issue, Scott #'s 671-673.

Today is number 15 of these maxi-cards. Liechtenstein has their own numbering system, which is contrary to Scott's. The series is of traditional costumes, issued September 8, 1980, Scott 694-696.

Christmas 1980, issued December 9, 1980. Scott 701-703 perf 11-½. The previous set of 4 Christmas stamps (697-700) was not included in this series of maxi-cards for some reason.

The 75th birthday of Prince Franz Joseph II is celebrated with a souvenir sheet. It must have been too big for one of these maxi-cards, so just singles were used. On checking Colnect, it would have been big enough, but not much room for pictures of the stamps. Issued June 9, 1981 Scott 710 (a,b,c) Michel Block 11 (770-772).
