Nice, but the image on the postcard should NOT be a simple enlargement of the image from the stamp, technicalities (and walking on them) aside. A magnifying glass can do that, sort of. I've been thinking about this since it is quite common for postal authorities to issue their own postcards for stamp issues. Setting aside British PHQ cards and similar cards which directly reproduce postage stamps and so fall under their own distinct category, I see that Maximaphily has its own governing body the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP) Commission for Maximaphily. Far be it for me to contradict our resident expert, dorincard , but here are the FIP rules for evaluating exhibits. Rule 3.2 The Picture Postcard states ' All postcards fully reproducing the postage stamp, that is to say with perforation, face value, country name, are forbidden.' Since none of brightonpete 's examples show the perforations nor indeed the entire stamp text, it appears to me that the, rather clumsy, addition of 'and Not-Quite-Maxi-Cards' isn't necessary. Just my opinion. Daniel

June 9, 1981 saw three commemoratives released. The 20rp was for the 50th Anniversary of Boy Scouts and Girl Guides; 40rp for the international year of the disabled and the 80rp for the 1,600 birth anniversary of St. Theodul. Scott 711-713.
I'm not going to bother with the backside of the last card anymore, unless someone really wants to see it.

daniel: The maxicards in this thread are accepted (or tolerated) by most maximaphilists, even for exhibits. Sure, there are some hardcore purists who would be eager to criticize them for having postcard supports that were probably NOT for sale as simple postcards before the issue of the stamp. So the postcards were created specifically to issue these maxicards, by the Post. Violation of FIP rules, OMG! Others would say that these are "not quite [compliant] maxicards" because the image on the postcard might be less than 75% of the postcard surface area. That rule was recently overruled even by FIP, so now it's no longer "imperative" to have 75%. I said before on this thread what I would prefer about these maxicards, but that's not a "rule violation". Just a design "laziness". Overall, these are interesting, so I like them, more or less.

Europa 1982 theme was historic events, and Liechtenstein's choice was a doozy! The Peasant's Revolt, which occurred in 1524-5, where 100,000 peasant's were slaughtered by well armed soldiers. It's amazing the power the aristocracy had over the people. Is it any wonder communism rose to such prominence? The 80rp was for Imperial Direct Rule in 1396. Issued March 8, 1982, Scott 733-734.
I recently received an East German souvenir sheet for the 450th anniversary of the Peasant's War, a set of 6 woodcuts, issued February 11, 1975 (Mi: 2013-2018 and Scott: 1619).

The LIBA ’82, 10th Liechtenstein Philatelic Exhibition, held in Vaduz July 31 to August 8. Why not have old stamps on these stamps instead of the aristocracy? Hereditary Prince & Princess! Give me stamps for a stamp show issue! Issued June 7, 1982, Scott 735-736.
On a side note: since I have been scanning these cards (whatever one wants to call them) VueScan now refuses to scan an entire page no matter what I do. Canon only allows for one custom size. I hope I can figure out the problem with VueScan!
By the by... pictured is Prince Hans Adam and Princess Marie Aglae.

Last Thursday before Lent Begging for eggs on Shrove Tuesday Bonfire on the first Sunday of Lent
Growing old is for the birds! I pulled out the next set of cards and scanned them, re-sized them, then looked in Scott's to see when they were issued & their numbers. Hmmm, the Liechtenstein Post Office skipped a few issues. "What's up with that?", I thought. Looking closer, I see that I finished the 1st package yesterday. Now on to the 2nd! I dearly hope my brain doesn't deteriorate too quickly!

The Liechtenstein post office is so inconsistent with the envelopes they use for these cards. The Christmas 1983 issue is in a windowed envelope. From the Pope onwards to who knows when [1], they have some little graphic image in the lower left corner that isn't really associated with the subject of the stamps. Just keeps everyone on their toes wondering what's next!
[1] The envelopes are in a plastic envelope, and I'm not pulling them all out to see what's upcoming. I'll keep it a surprise!

In an effort to reduce the numbers of images on here, I'll combine all into one. Looks good enough to me! I hope everyone likes it too, and doesn't mind the change in format.
