In Austria stationery can be printed by the post on order of private entities and persons. This here is from a charity, with the two stamps on the right imprinted. The additional stamps made up the extra fees for international mail.

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

This one is a 1925 postcard from Czechoslovakia. It features a 5 haleru President Masaryk. I suspect this was a first day of issue postmark from Zizkov C.S.P. which I understand would be a railway postmark from the station in Prague.

Aerogrammes:
My favourite Aerogramme folded,
and unfolded.
If you take a closer look to it,that will answer all questions how an Aerogramme has to be folded and sent. I do not really know,if there were any aerogrammes issued before WW II,but they became widespread soon after. Over the years I aquired quite a lot of them.I spend most of today scanning a good deal of mine. But I am not a systematic collector of aerogrammes or any other stationeries. So I know very little about particulars. But anyway,I like them a lot !

Here’s a FDC of the 1985 Halley’s Comet/Mark Twain USPS aerogramme, Scott UC60. This was issued to commemorate three events at once: 1. The upcoming approach to Earth of Halley’s Comet in February 1986 2. The 150th anniversary of Mark Twain’s birth around the time of another such perihelion in 1835 3. The 75th anniversary of his death near yet another comet approach in 1910. Twain himself made much of this coincidence, as seen in the quote featured on the front of the envelope. The item was issued on December 4 in his hometown of Hannibal, MO, the same location as the other Twain-related U.S. issues. You’ll notice this is technically an uncacheted cover, with just the FDOI postmark on the plain item as issued. I have seen many FDCs created with additional cachets, which generally take the form of a second small portrait of Twain or some more language crammed into the small space at the top of the envelope. They all seem too busy to me; I prefer the simplicity of just leaving USPS’ design, which already has a lot going on.

Thank you, Werner salentin, for sharing all the aerogrammes on this thread! I for one am glad you collected them and look forward to seeing more. The way their themed designs combine the art of stamps with what I’d usually think of as the art of cachetmaking and cover production is very interesting.

swvl, thank you for your interest and encouragement ! I have not yet scanned all aerogrammes, but will probably do so later. They are stuffed in boxes and cases in different places,so I have no good control.

The blue cross on the registered stationery envelope is an interesting relic of an early custom of an actual string tied around a folded letter which might have contained a bank note or money draft. the letter was tied with a string and sealed with wax for security. The printed envelopes which appeared in late 19th century GB were lined with linen and had the mock string crossed over.

Here is a rather plain example of this form that I came across recently. It's a first-class Forever #10 envelope, issued by USPS in 2020. Nothing too special designwise, but still of some interest to me! A little research shows this was issued in June 2020 at Liberty, Missouri, and the Scott number is U700.

The backside is,apart from the colour, the same on the previous aerogramme. The beach at Cox´s Bazar is possibly the widest, but for sure the most barren,I had ever seen.
