What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

When I acquired my Scott International Albums volume 3-6 they were sparsely populated with stamps. This block of 12 used Japanese stamps was mounted and was attractive enough that I left it in the album. Photo 2 gives the Scott information.

Panama Scott# 750 corner block of four. These were printed with a picture of a fish that does not match the scientific name. Later additional stamps were printed with the correct picture.

3rd anniversary of the Agrarian Reform Law ( from a set of 3,the other two stamps are of common kind) Issued March 26th,1973 A strange stamp: printed on card-board-like paper,it must have been printed in a rather small quantity, making it the scarest and most expensive stamp of South-Vietnam. It shows president Nguyen Van Thieu holding high the book of the reform law in his right.

USA Scott# LOX11 In addition to official seals provided by the US Post Office Department, some official seals were privately printed and sold to individual post office. Some privately printed seals are extremely rare with only one or a few known. LOX11 is the most common one. Most seals were imperf or die-cut. Only a few, like this one are rouletted. This is half of a sheet of four arranged tête-bêche.

Jack,a beautiful sheetlet ! When I had a look at Michel, the overprint looked different to me. This is the illustration from Michel:
Is it possible that the overprint on your sheetlet is inverted ? Or got Michel the illustration wrong ?

I don't have a Michel catalogue but the SG catalog shows:
Which looks like the overprint below, I think. Rotated ninety degrees clockwise, looks like to me.

In the Michel catalog it is rotated counterclockwise. Does only the horizontal/vertical position matter in differentiating the overprint, not the sense of rotation? Maybe in a sense of rotation they are rarer?

I don't know whether rotation one way or another is rare. But I do know that the embossed cartouche in the paper of this example is fairly rare.

in the latest S.G. I own (1989) only the horizontal overprint is illustrated. That´s why I had asked. However a look at Scott may show the solution. In a footnote to this set they write: "The overprint is found in various positions, double, inverted, etc." No mentioning of the embossed dry-seal in any catalogue.

Jaipur sheetlets, issued 1911/12 Each stamp differs from the others. Many "errors",double prints etc. Not valuable by any means;but I love them ! Have a look at the lower left stamp of the 1/2 Anna sheetlet (lower left value tablet) !

salentin,Nice variety sheet. Were there also 1/3 Anna stamps in the series? Are they typo printed? I think I have seen mistakes of this type somewhere where the typo plate is assembled from small plates with the face value, the center remaining the same.

The remaining two values of the set. Michel lists only four stamps, while S.G. and Scott list the greenish variation of the 1/4 Anna as a seperate stamp. The stamps are typographed and it looks like the same six clichés were used for all values. Just the value-tablets were changed. There was no 1/3 Anna (4 Pies) in this or any other set of Jaipur. I guess,it was just a trifle, like the other "erors" of this series,to make it more interesting for collectors.

sunshinerai, the £1 strip is SG 598, and either T22 or T23 depending on the paper type. Here are some wild violets from 1967 (SG 721 or W117), with a notch in the bottom right leaf on the bottom right stamp, which mysteriously increases the price from a few pence to a few pounds.
