nick2302 , your post count now reflects 31 posts and, using my magic powers, I verified that you have made exactly 31 posts on the forum. If you are using the Quick Reply area to make posts, make sure that you click on the Post Quick Reply button at lower left and not the Reply button at upper right. If you click on the Reply button, that just takes you to the regular post creation area to allow you to continue editing. It may appear that your post has been uploaded but you are still in post creation mode. If you navigate away before clicking the Create Post button at lower right, your work will not have been posted.

If it is the only post in the thread you can delete it. If there are multiple posts but you made them all, you can delete them. Otherwise, ask for us to move the thread to the Ended section.

Chris ( Beryllium Guy ), I believe that 1973 is a typo. When I searched Google on Stanley Gibbons Monthly Circular a listing on Amazon for Number 42 came up in the results (Stanley Gibbons" Monthly Circular. No. 42 Feb 1923). The year of the circular you're inquiring about is 1923. Have you tried the APRL? They may have a copy of the article or be able to acquire one.

Perhaps scaling back on all of those fox hunts will ameliorate the problem.

Do the first day attendees receive something that is not available to the others (apart from the first look at dealer material)?

Brian ( bgh61 ), If you want to reset your password, use the forgot password option on the log in page -- I have no visibility on Forum passwords. In regard to image posting, this thread will explain the methods for posting images. As you review that thread, the reason you can't sign in to the TSF Image Host will become clear, as will the remedy.

Had it been postmarked 2 years earlier I'd strongly encourage you to keep it.
If you aren't interested in keeping, perhaps you can find an India collector who'd like to have it in his or her collection. The largest rigid mailer I've seen on Amazon is 12.75 x 15 inches. Of course, there is no guarantee that the carrier won't fold it in half to fit it in the mail box, as appears to have been the case with the cover.

paul1 , Not a Cinderella but one of two postage stamp designs of the 1975 Christmas issue. The stamp is either Scott 1580 (perf 11.2) or 1580B (perf 10.5x11.3). If perf 10.9 it is Scott 1580c (an imperf pair is 1580a).

decentguy, If you believe that you have found a rarity then you should commit some of that newfound wealth to having the pair expertized.

I, and my aliases ( TSF Admin and tomiseksj ), will be on travel through June 19th and I anticipate limited opportunities to attend to TSF duties. Should you have any problems, questions or concerns during this timeframe, please use the report post function, if applicable, or direct them to a member of the Moderator team ( Londonbus1 , Ryan and Beryllium Guy ).

Site supporters is already shown on the Forum Operating Costs thread -- members are identified when donations have been made (unless they have requested anonymity).
I'd prefer to not go down the badging road.

From my perspective, the USPS would be better served by both informing and warning the sender, rather than just telling the recipient, that the sender is using counterfeit postage stamps.

Have you asked the seller if she sent you the replacements with tracking? If so, and if the number matches, send her the notice that you received.

Thanks for posting your introduction and welcome to our Forum.
Your choice of thread title, while a perfect description of your collecting interests, isn't readily discernible as a new member intro, especially to those who view the Forum using either the recent thread or recent posts options.
Hopefully, members will read this post and extend the welcomes that are normally afforded to our new members.

The editors of the Scott catalog are seeking input regarding the listing of King Charles stamps. Now is your chance to influence their decision.
