I show 2 examples below. They were issued in folders which included a folded information sheet about each design. Lovely souvenirs. These sheets can be possitioned to their location on the printing plate In addition, many of the single labels can also be plated using small flaws that are known from certain sheets If this would be useful, I will be happy to post up all the details Allan

The unestimable value, of "collectors", past and present, and the value we pass on to the future generations. Taken from "The Antiques Road show" Art piece, originally purchased as a desire for the frame. Late Victorian Painter : George Wright (sp?) 1860-1942 "The Great Mail Coach" Changing horses at the White Hart Pub. Scene circa 1830 where 5-7 coaches passed every day (A very profitable business) (I'd also suggest a "connect" route, for Packet mails coming overland from Plymouth, to London) Current Value £5,000 - £7,000

This one is for TSF member cjd ....King Geoge V TV Program : "The Antiques Roadshow." An extraordinary discovery, a New Art Form in papermaking Watermarked Paper 1872 T. H. Saunders Papermaker of "Darham"? (sp?) Kent (I could not quite understand the owner) Won a Prize in the 1851 Great Exhibition Samples from the Jubilee 1935 King George V and Queen Mary The Antiques Expert valued these at £40 - £60 (which I think is in error, at a philatelic auction, I could see these going for a whole lot more)

TV Program "Antiques Roadshow" Mourning Cover (for KGV1) Addressed N A Finch VC (Victoria Cross ) Won by "ballot" Queen's bodyguard. Buckingham Palace cachet Sea Battle Zebrugge WW1 1918 One of only a few survivors. The owner received it, as a 9 year old, from Mr. Finch for his stamp collection. (how wonderful was that!) The owner donated it on the show, to the NA Finch Museum.

Is this a normal cancel for such a late date stamp? Hi Zipper, looks like it may be part of a slogan cancel? celebrating a penny black anniversary? Not an 1840 strike, but a copy. Looks genuine in regards to a proprietary postmark. Needs investigating. Update: This looks promising. Great Britain Maltese Cross Postmark on 1960's stamp The National Postal Museum London Chief office EC1 (East London Central) Owner : "flip138"

Aerogramme 6d Slogan Postmark "Postage on Letters for Europe 4d" There is a strong case this Aerogramme was going to Germany. Ergo, the owner overpaid by 2d. All English mail to Europe went by Airmail, but charged at the surface rate (4d)

Perhaps I was in error? Political correctness dictates "Scottish Maltese Cross on regional stamp 1960's"
Apologies to the Scots.

I picked this up at the show.
Anyone know what year this would be, I thinking it might be one of the first GB meters.
Then right after that this popped up I thought it would be a nice addition to a collection.

Alas no, sorry Admin. I am, by no stretch, an authority on meters, but I would suggest yours is circa 1946 (Neopost Meter?) I have seen images of your type, as late as 1967 Christmas day, 1968. Oops. My 1967 Meter, was George Vl not George V The first GB Meters were around 1922, by manufacturer, Pitney Bowes. PS. Cracker customs label. Super. PB (Pitney Bowes) Die 470a from 1922

For 25 cents I couldn't let that custom label pass me by, I think the dealer was a little taken back with his price
