I just found this airmailcover from Venezuela, stamp value is a few cents but the interesting part of the letter is the adress, it is send to the German occupation zone Russia that is what make it interesting, the world lived with the Iron courtain until 1989, finally it looked like the world was not going to make the mistakes of the past and live in peace but someone learned nothing and now the world have to deal with maniac leaders of big country in Eastern Europe and a few countrys in Asia (Well, that is my opinion and I know not all would agree and that is fine we live in the free world and hopefully we keep it this way) |

Under the British Commonwealth, stamps were issued for the colonies of Kenya, Uganda and Tanganyika (Tanzania) KUT from 1935 to 1963. After independence, the three nations continued to have new KUT stamps issued until 1977. The first row is four 1967 stamps celebrating the 21st anniversary of East African Airways. Aircraft: Dragon Rapide, F-27 Friendship, Super VC10 and Comet 4. The next four are 1976 triangular stamps celebrating the 30th anniversary of EAA. Aircraft: Fokker Friendship, DC-9, Super VC10 and EAA emblem. The last photo shows one of the tail emblem treatments on a Super VC10. Niue souvenir sheet from 2003 celebrating 100 years of aviation. As with early aircraft I've seen on this thread, the wire and cable rigging are well detailed. The main thing I like about small island countries issuing these stamps is that they name the manufacturer, aircraft type and use a given airline scheme like United. Can't beat that. Countries with nationalized airlines do pretty much the same thing. Scott: 781 A161

This 1959 Argentina stamp of an Aerolíneas Argentinas de Havilland Comet 4 salutes the inauguration of jet flights for the country. The airline acquired seven Comets and the last ones were retired in 1971. Scott: C74 AP29

In three shades of blue, this 1976 forward moving stamp recognizes the 25th anniversary of Aerolíneas Argentinas. It incorporates the airline's logo of the Andean condor and forward leaning AA on top right. This logo was used from 1949 to 1990. Below the stamp is my small Aerolíneas Argentinas showcase of a 707, 747SP and cultural items. I have 40 airlines from around the world in four wall tower cabinets. Scott: 1130 A517

Issued in June of 2023, this stamp from Russia celebrates the 100th anniversary of Aeroflot. Using Google Translate, the top reads Airline Company Aeroflot. Not clearly expressed is the aircraft. It's either an Airbus or Boeing plane. What is clear to me is the beauty of the flight attendant. Michel: 3306
