Hi hrdoktors
Interesting stamp. I didn't recognize the aircraft and looked it up. The stamp shows a Percival P66 Pembroke, now Hunting Percival. Not frequently seen on stamps. According to Wikipedia, two were sold to Finland. One crashed, the other is now in the Aviation Museum of Central Finland. Thanks for posting it. Don StampHinger

In 2017, Cocos (Keeling) Islands issued this souvenir sheet of four aircraft stamps. The closeup of the Qantas Lockheed Electra is super cool.  Scott: 395a A107
392 - Consolidated Model 28-3 or PBY Catalina 28-3 - Private Ownership named GUBA (meaning sudden storm)
393 - Avro Lancastrian - Qantas
394 - Lockheed Electra - Qantas
395 - Boeing 727 of Ansett Airlines and Trans Australia Airlines

New stamp from France showing the Canadair water bomber:  I saw three of them flying at low altitude in close formation while on vacation last week. Usually not a good sign, but they were apparently on a training run. |

I was influenced by the post of hrdoktorx on page 14 to get this 2023 New Caledonia commemorative sheet. The selvedge title says Planes of Yesterday and Today - Caravelle of UTA. Along the right side, it reads Network Far East Pacific and has the multi-stop route from Paris to New Caledonia. Scott: 1298  |

Issued in 1995, these Nauru se-tenant commemoratives were issued for the International Stamp Exhibitions in Jakarta, Singapore and Beijing. They show a Boeing 727-100, an overprint of new value and logo of the exhibitions. The original stamp with aircraft and Australian 25 cent value was released as a definitive in 1984 (Scott 291). Knowing that José Projecto designed this series of 1994 stamps for hunting, I couldn't help but place this souvenir sheet here. Yes, it's unrealistic that an airport bird control person having no safety vest with his Peregrine Falcon and dog scaring off birds would be so close to the Lockheed L-1011-385-3. hrdoktorx these took me back to my early teen-years collecting, armed only with a Scott catalog and b/w pictures. I thought these ro be interesting with their bit “crude” design (compared to the flashy bicolors of the Mozambique Company of which I had a few.)
