Linda already showed this stamp in her War and Peace thread, but it also belongs here.  While in Vienna earlier this week, I went to a post office near my hotel, which I had noticed even advertised having a philatelic counter, and purchased me a copy. It must not be a very big seller, though, because the lady at the counter did not know which stamp I was talking about (OK, my German is rusty, but not THAT bad) and had a colleague find it for her.

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

Pair of stamps issued by Thailand in 1998 to commemorate one hundred years since the visit of the King of Siam to various European countries:  Note that the Thailand post office design team didn't do a very good job concerning historical accuracy. Two countries (Austria and Hungary) were joined into one back when the visit took place in 1897, and many other flags are not the versions that would have been used at the time (Germany and Russia, for instance). |
