Well, I can only assume that some of my eBay purchases have been from members here.

What I collect: I collect world wide up to 1965 with several specialty albums added due to volume of material I have acquired. At this point I am focused on Canada and British America. I am always on the lookout for stamps and covers with postmarks from communities in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I do list various goods including stamps occasionally on eBay as hdm50

Well, I can only assume that some of my eBay purchases have been from members here. For sure a few of us sell on there. Most are like me just selling duplicates. A few are heavy listers. I think I have only ended up buying twice from members that I was aware of. I have not knowingly sold anything on eBay to members of this forum. I have pulled items I had listed and arranged a direct sale to a member once. That is always an option if someone sees something I am selling that they want. This forum does not have a large active membership but we many different collecting interests. That reduces the chance of matching up.

hdm1950 , I'm one of those with limited collecting interests and that's why it will take me a long time to read through all the subject matter on this forum. But that's alright because it will widen my knowledge and help point me to various stamps/covers etc. I never encountered. With you selling duplicates and others as heavy listers, my chances of purchasing stamps makes everything all the better.

I had that exact set. I think I still have the empty binder somewhere after I transferred all of the stamps into albums. Not sure where I got it, since I know I didn't buy it, but it's empty now. I'm not interested in collecting presentation packs or the like.

I am selling (or giving) my Nicaragua classics - never put a $ into this Country which came with my late dad's "stuff" - These are mostly from a Scott Junior # 1 (classics) album. Now I checked every stamp and re-did the CV using Scott 2021 Specialized. I knew Nicaragua stamps were not worth very much and my "exercise" confirmed this: 122 classics (some over 1940) for a new CV of $80US. The stamps are looking great but not worth much - In an auction, I would start at $1.00 US$ + shipping (Canadian rate) My are ready and I need some motivation from a member who collects NICARAGUA !! I have a bunch of Countries to offer in the future - I never put a cent into those - I have them and they are just occupying space in the Board Room LOL !! Maybe they could help some member collector - NICARAGUA is ready to go René hi renden , if I understand correctly you don't mind sending the Nicaragua stamps if I agree to paying shipping. I would love to have them, and they will have a new home and they will grow my South America collections. if any others please let me know by pm, and we can arrange the payment to you. thank you. cheers. anil

It's a different year, also empty, but I didn't even remember that I had it.

The last few days I have been picking through 2 full stock books of Germany and German Democratic Republic. Today's mail gave me a bit of a change with this group of British America stamps that will fill a few pretty important holes in my collection.

After over a week away from hard (actually handling them) stamping, I finally finished mounting and scanning Indonesian stamps. It was a new country to mount on printed pages. This includes a couple of Netherlands Indies stamps. If anyone has any unneeded Netherland Indies and Indonesia stamps, I may be interested. I usually focus on issues to 1980. This is all I have now but have some of the Vienna printings on the way. I add country title pages to the Steiner pages.

Not too much stamp time as babysitting still controls the days and the energy. But it is such fun ! Tomorrow I am going on a Railway journey to see some trains and railway stamps !!!
A large collection of Railway stamps has been bequeathed to the Israel Railway Museum and so I am off for a rare day out. The collection made the news here so hopefully it will be worth seeing.
Some good news regarding the mail. One of my auction lots I won back in late September/early October and which was returned to sender in Krakow, Poland has arrived in Israel. It took one month travel. But at least it arrived and gives hope for the others still missing. The rumour I had heard about Poland not allowing stamps on International Mail may well be true. The cover only had a registered label and nothing else so I assume that included the postage. I had read the rumour in the Philatelic Press almost a year ago.
Changing times.

For the past couple months I've been dealing with an injury to my left arm (tennis elbow and sprained ligament in my wrist) that has kept me from being as active in my stamping as I'd like. Being left-handed, it's difficult to hold tongs for very long without dropping them repeatedly. The pain is pretty well gone, but there's still an underlying nerve issue to deal with.
I've always been curious about the Minkus worldwide albums and have considered purchasing the early parts from Amos on a number of occasions. So far I've held off because I'm not sure that's where I want to focus my efforts. I actually enjoy collecting anything and everything, so using an album feels wrong for me. That said, about a month or so ago I picked up a 1965 copy of the Minkus Master. Per the seller it was listed as new, but so far I've run into a hundred or so stamps hinged into it. The seller didn't know if it was complete, so I've been slowly working through it, counting the spaces on each page. I haven't noticed any glaring omissions so far. Once I am finished, I plan to develop a "virtual" Minkus Master collection, using my duplicates as the source material at least initially.
I've also been seriously considering moving to Michel as my main catalogue for my world collection after picking up an older copy of their Southeastern Europe catalogue. I really like the fact that a Michel number follows a system. Scott seems too willy-nilly and I am not a fan of segregating postage issues into the various BOB categories. I can live with some stuff being in the back, such as officials and postage dues, although Michel's numbering coupled with the Gibbons regional chronological style would be my ultimate catalogue.
Michel was running a sale for Easter recently so I placed an order yesterday for several older catalogues. I picked up a two volume set for Caribbean countries (2015/16), South Asia (2016), and 2022/23 editions of Baltics/Finland, Benelux, British Isles, and Iberian Peninsula. These should keep me busy for quite a while.
I also decided to pick up an off paper mixture from a seller in the Netherlands, four kilos of all large/commems. In the past I've found mixtures from sources outside the US can provide a different breakdown, and I'm hoping this one will be similar.

Statesman Stamper - wishing you speedy healing! Anything that comes between us and our stamping is serious in my book! I’m feeling better but will probably start another round of PT for the vertigo/balance/nausea issues. Thank goodness it doesn’t affect my stamping too much. As long as I’m not excessively turning my head or darting my eyes back and forth, I can stamp for hours. Overall it’s much better than it was before the labyrinthectomy. Staying home and avoiding crowds, noise, driving and other stressors helps, too, so stamping is an absolute godsend. I don’t know how people who don’t have hobbies cope! Grocery shopping is the worst - all that head and eye movement - I’m fortunate that hubby actually likes to do the shopping plus he goes to the post office for me. He’s gotten to know the clerks and they handcancel for us now and know how we like them placed. Now if I could talk them into using BLACK ink and get them to ditch the red stuff. Right now I’m working hard on USA and USA duplicates. I can’t believe it but I’m missing more common USA varieties than I thought, all definitives, naturally. I have a bare bones USA collection, just one of each USED, and only a very few back of book sections, just the airmails, officials and a few others. I’ve started with recent and I’m working my way backwards and yesterday I was sorting 2001 issues. When I reach the Washington/Franklins there will probably be a screeching of brakes as I stop and scratch my head trying to figure them out. Yikes! I don’t flyspeck USA, but one exception is the overrun nations issue - I’m setting aside that accumulation to flyspeck later. Happy stamping everyone!

Slowly getting my desk cleaned up and things put aware ... where they belong, as opposed to placing into one of my sorting 'tubs' or an envelope labeled 'Misc'.
Also working on som color analysis and I have managed to introduce something into the colortable which is keeping it from opening for manual edit. Still works for comparison and adding new colors. Tedious as its lines of very similar text data, so today I'm going to remove 10 - 20 line blocks at a time to see if I can isolate where the issue is. It is likely one extra space, or lack of,, or a character that closes a string.
And I have an article for the newsletter I need to compile and finalize before I start anything else
and spring has finally arrived making it harder to concentrate on indoor 'stuff'
Happ stamping all!

Minkus has their own uniqueness by separating definitives and commemoratives in their catalog (at least for US stamps).
