For your info, Albona is in what is Croatia today. Personally I would collect this stamp as a Croatia Forerunner, which I find a more and more facinating part of our great hobby:) |

A 1930 issue from Gabon with July 1 1938 cancellation from Fort Lamy,Chad. In 1973,Fort Lamy was renamed N,Djamena.  |

This one is a puzzle. i have looked at >100 of Austria Michel # 50-62 with 12 different listed perforations. This is the only stamp with this type of cancellation. i do see similar cancellation on the Austrian Heller denominations. Anyone have insight into these? this is Mi # 53C 13 x 12-1/2 (perf 10-1/2 seems the most common Mi# 50c - 62C)  |

Taitung, Taiwan. Eisenhower visited Taiwan in June but although the date is not clear, it appears to be a later sending in 1960. For a Flag collector, it has a lot going for it !!  |

A selection of postmarks on the 1945 Tirailleur Senegalais set from French West Africa.There are 19 stamps in the series and I am still missing one value.I find it harder to get good postmarks as the majority of used stamps I see have the wavy line cancellations.This series was designed by Edmund Dulac and printed by Thomas de la Rue and Company.  |
