Osaka Communication Exhibition,issued March 8th,1948; print: 250.000;
The above s.s. is a nice example for a late cancellation. Showa 53 is the year 1978.According to Michel,s.s. with such late cancellations are valued about 20% of the listed price for used (in time of issue) s.s.,issued after the war.Pre-war s.s.,cancelled after 1947 are valued at about 5% !

Nagoya Communications Exhibition,issued March 11th,1948; print 170.000;
The above s.s. can be distinguished easily: Osaka Exhibition shows two characters below the stamps, Nagoya Exhibition shows three characters below the stamps.

Mishima Philatelic Exhibition,issued April 3rd,1948; print: 80.000; The overprint was done on the Nagoya Exh. s.s.,the one with the three characters. However the overprint also exists on the Osaka Exh. s.s. (two characters). According to Michel 200 of these were printed.

From June 1951 (6 Yen) till March 1952 (500 Yen) stamps of the vocational series and two others (4 and 10 Yen) were re-issued on unwatermarked paper.A pretty expensive set in mint condition. Missing are the 10 Yen like the one issued in April 1948 and the 30 Yen vocational (postman).

different shades or just different colour-intensity ?
National Treasures Series without 00 for Sen. issued Aug.11,1952 (1 Yen),July 10th,1953 (10 Yen) and June 20th,1952 (50 Yen) 10 Yen booklet-stamps with top or bottom imperforated,issued Nov.20th,1954. There is also a souvenir sheet,commemorating the 1954 Philatelic Week,issued Nov.20th,1954 as well,what is identical to the booklet pane,but has different tab-inscriptions.Unfortunately I neither own the booklet,nor the s.s.. On Jan.1st,1959 the 10 Yen was issued as coil-stamp,imperforated vertically. All stamps exist in different shades.

Issued on Sept.10th,1955,this is probably the most common stamp of Japan. There are colour-varieties and part-imperforated stamps. Imperforated on one side or two adjoining sides are from various booklets,issued from 1959 till 1968. Imperforated vertically on both sides is the coil-stamp,issued Oct.2nd,1961.

Both 15 Yen exist part-perforated from booklets (sorry some are missing). The "white 15 Yen" also exists as a coil-stamp,issued Jan.9th,1968.
It was also issued as "Minipack".A sheetlet of 10 encapsuled in a clear plastic folio.
