rod222, I only have access to Klaseboer online right now, and unfortunately there is a mixed up link in the French Postage Due section, which I suspect is also duplicated in the CD, but can't check for you right now. Basically, I think he tried to re-categorize some postage due pages and ended linking to separate versions of the 1859 postage dues. One page links to what is probably a newer version, which unfortunately does not mention that essay. Here is the direct link to the older online France Postage Due Stamps, 1859 issue, scroll to the very bottom, right after the abbreviated section on Sperati forgeries, he mentions a "mystery label". I navigated to that page using Volume 1 => F => France => France Postage Due Stamps, 1859 issue. Try doing that on your CD and see what you get.

PS: I have "toggled" both images, and both are near to identical, including ink spots etc
Another "headscratcher" solved
Well done you !

The bottom three are from France. "Ad usum Bochorum" was a WWI propaganda slogan "For use by the Krauts" (Kraut in English and "Boche" in French being the derogatory term by which Germans were referred, no longer usable in polite society). The bottom one seems to be some sort of tax stamp but I have limited knowledge about those.

armenin2000.........your top one appears to be a luggage label. We have a thread for those if you wish to place it there, it would be good. Also, the top two French stamps are from Delandre for which there is also a thread. They are two from a set of 8. And yes, the USA item can be called an Advertising label. Nice little lot !! Help me decide on these stamps The top 2, shown here, are listed as Delandres in Volume IV of Images of the Great War, Delandre's Vignettes other than Military and Red Cross. They are are crudely catalogued under Chapter 4: Black and/or Blue. All credit to Xavier, hrdoktorx for the translation. What you call the New Jersey Dental State Society item is up to you but it would certainly qualify as a Cinderella stamp. Thanks for sharing. Daniel (I see that Londonbus1 beat me to the answer )

Further from franoise ID I cannot spot any Burelage? can you advise if it has a light grey arabesque design covering the stamp? Quittances = receipts Here are the 1874 -1876 perforate issues with the burelage , and the "two blue lines" Stamps designed by Eugene Andre Oudine 1810-1887

Thanks to everyone. I have accumulated a number of foreign Cinderellas. When you buy large collections, there is always more than what you collect. Now, thanks to you, I can at least sign them. The bag tag from Yerevan was shown by rod222 earlier. I just read the inscription.

One imperforate, blue on burelage blue, from 1871 which is similar (2 colours are noted in Forbin, pale blue and dark blue) to the one in @aremenin2000 's post and one perforated version with two vertical blue lines from 1875. In Forbin's 1915 catalogue, for the imperforate version it is stated that "the burelage is more or less dark blue. It is sometimes so pale that it is barely apparent".

I realized that this is Cuba. But I don’t know what they are for. It's a low value 5 peso revenue stamp typically used for passport applications. 10, 20 and 40 pesos stamps were also available and they were sold in banks. However, with a passport application costing 2,500 pesos, many such stamps were required. In 2021 higher values were introduced and they are now sold in post offices. Daniel

I would like to know where these cards were used? Maybe as inserts in cigarettes? armenin2000 these cards were issued by the Philadelphia Gum Co. in 1965 as a series of 88. These types of cards were typically issued in packs of 6 and often with a stick of gum. They were collectibles in their own right. They seem to have some value, see this link. Daniel

khjHi khj, It's one of those things, one can carry through life to old age, things that fascinated, or scared the daylights out of, when a child. As a rug rat in Somerset England, it was the stone folly in Yeovil "Jack the Treacle Eater" that nightmares were made of. The "Time Ball" was another, I can recall seeing, waiting for the ball to rise, where? I have no idea, I was too young Here are the images of the harmless Time Balls, something akin to what you do now......... communications In early Australia it was with Time Balls and Flags linklinkAustralian Shipping Communications Sydney 1874

This might be of interest. GB 1975 issue European Architectural Heritage , 8p (SG977), shows the Time Ball on the Royal Observatory, Greenwich The same Time Ball is barely visible on a stamp from Nicaragua, 1994 (SG3347) www.ianridpath.com/stamps/bradley.htmlA set of ANPEX ’82 souvenir covers featured the ‘Old Windmill’ in Brisbane. The back of the envelope gives details of the Time Ball shown. See entry by BigSaint on 5 April 2023, 09:49, and the following Post card: www.stampboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=82193&start=18800

Small cinderella with Arabic Script needs identifying please. Apparently something to do with housebuilding? I am intrigued at the style of the roof which looks more European than Middle Eastern Sloping roofs are usually more associated with shedding snowfall

NOT SOLVED Placing here out of desperation. Unidentified Postmark Anyone aware of a postmark or location "HALIFAX ISLAND" ? I have nothing locations only Namibia or Nova Scotia None seem to be sophisticated enough to have a Post Office I am wondering if it may be a misnomer Havannah Island Halifax Bay North Queensland question from circa 1976

daniel Indeed, don't know that fellow, he is younger than I Actually, looking at Wiki, I had second thought about Namibia. Sure the name fits, but it was only a temp. accommodation for Guano workers, I couldn't see the necessity of a Post Office let alone cancelling hammers etc.
So I thought I would check if there was any other, worldwide "Halifax Island"
Sheesh...in the video, a gentleman points out the Post office My clanger.
