Let me withdraw my request for more information about the #J63 postage dues. mdroth is correct. Varieties like these that occur in the normal printing process are generally not assigned separate catalogue numbers unless they are significant like an inverted overprint or missing color. I do not think I want to spend the time plating the stamp just to identify all of its variants. I do hope I have not dissuaded others from considering my future postings. I mean well.

Thank you Salentin. Am I correct in thinking that Michel is a German language catalogue? Are the titles in English or have you translated them from German? I'm hoping to find the original Turkish language titles.

1st - Orman Konulu Sürekli
2nd - Çevre Sağlığı
Salentin's english translations are spot on...
If you did a 'literal' translation:
1 - 'Regular Forest Subject'
2 - 'Health of the Environment'

stamjay: yes,Michel is a german catalogue with all texts in German. They offer a wide range of catalogues, listing all postage stamps worldwide, but also a range of specialized catalogues and reference-books.Too many to know them all,but I think they also have some titles in English. In my opinion the best available set of stamp-catalogues,with two reservations: 1. a good knowledge of German is needed or at least helpful 2. they are costly, something like a Mercedes Benz of the catalogues

good day please, give me an advice I bought a Turkey Mi 792 block at home I compared with my several pieces. Unfortunately all my pieces that I have both thin paper and thick paper are different. the paper on the purchased block is different. The size of the teeth corresponds to 11 1/2 for my stamps the size of the purchased block is 12 3/4 I especially don't like the paper, the cleanliness of the serrations. see photo. michel does not indicate a fake for this stamp.. marks in the photo of the edges of the stamps, the right stamp is at the bottom, the questionable block is at the top. thank you for the advice

My guess is a forgery made for the packet trade back in the 1920s.

Hi rod222 thank you for the guidance. Will remove and update this sheet, and move those two to Poland. Wow, I didn't know that the Razor Blade was a cancel. I learn something new in the stamp world every day.

22 Countries contributed personnel to the UN Command during the Korean War. 16 countries, including a Turkish Brigade, supplied troops. The Turkish Brigade, codenamed North Star, fought with the US 25th Infantry Division and was the only brigade-sized unit attached permanently to a US Division during the war. Over the course of their deployment, 14,939 Turkish soldiers served in Korea. For more information, have a look at this Wikipedia entry ... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkish_BrigadeWhile the war was still active, Turkey issued a series of stamps commemorating their participation in the Korean War. Series issued on September 25, 1952 Turkish Soldier 15k Prussian Blue, granite paper Sc. 1079 Solider with Turkish Flag 20k Deep Blue, granite paper Sc. 1080 Solider and Korean Child wth Comic Book 30k Brown, granite paper Sc. 1081 Raising Turkish Flag 60k Olive Black and Carmine, granite paper Sc. 1802
